Geography

Saint-Barthélemy — St Barts — is a small, hilly island in the northeastern Caribbean, about 35 kilometres southeast of Saint-Martin, in the Leeward Islands. It covers just 25 square kilometres.

Once a Swedish colony (hence its capital, Gustavia), it is now one of the world’s most exclusive luxury-tourism destinations.
