Geography
The Cayman Islands are a group of three islands — Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman — in the western Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica.
Low-lying and ringed by coral reefs, the islands cover about 264 square kilometres. Grand Cayman is by far the largest and home to the capital, George Town, and the great majority of the population.

The Cayman Islands are one of the world’s foremost offshore financial centres, hosting a vast hedge-fund and company-registration industry alongside luxury tourism. This gives the high-income territory a GDP per capita near $100,000.
