Geography
Niue is a single uplifted coral island in the South Pacific Ocean, east of Tonga and west of the Cook Islands. One of the world’s largest coral islands and smallest self-governing states, it is sometimes called “the Rock of Polynesia”.
Steep limestone cliffs ring the island, with deep caves and chasms instead of beaches.
