Geography
Bermuda is not in the Caribbean, as is often assumed, but sits alone in the North Atlantic Ocean about 1,030 kilometres east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina โ the nearest landmass.
It is an archipelago of around 180 low-lying coral islands, the largest several linked by bridges, covering just 54 square kilometres. Its subtropical climate is warmed by the Gulf Stream.
