Colors and the Meaning of the Comoros Flag
The Comoros flag was used in 2002 by the Comoros, the African country.
The moon and four five-pointed stars in the flag used before that date were enclosed in the vertical equilateral triangle formed on the side of the new flag, and the other parts were divided into four horizontal bands representing the islands connected to the Comoros or the claimed islands.
The color of these strips is given by taking the local flag used by those islands. It also represents these four candidates in the four stars shown during the month. The vertical equilateral triangle formed is given a green color to symbolize the official religion of the country, Islam.

History of the Comoros Flag
The first official flag of Comoros was introduced in 1963. It had a green backdrop and a white crescent on the upper left of the flag. There were four diagonal white stars, starting from the lower left of the flag and extending towards the upper right. Later, when the country entered the regime of Ali Soilih in 1976, the flag was changed. The flag consisted of two red-green strips. The crescents and stars in the previous flag were placed on the left side of the red strip of this flag.
In 1978 President Soilih was dismissed and killed. The country was the Federal and Islamic Republic of Comoros. During this period, the flag turned into a different version of the first flag of Comoros. Unlike the previous flag, the crescent and the stars were gathered in the middle. In 1992, the star and crescent were changed again. The crescent was placed facing up in the middle of the flag and the stars were arranged horizontally above the crescent.
When Muhammad Thaci Abdoulkarim became president in 1996, the flag was changed again. The direction of the crescent was turned to the right and the stars were vertically aligned to the right of the crescent. On the upper right side of the flag was written arabic ‘Allah’ and on the lower left side ‘arabic’ Muhammad.
The modern flag of Comoros was adopted in 2002. The new flag consists of four horizontal stripes of yellow-white-red-blue. On the left side of the flag there is a green triangle and white crescent and four stars inside the triangle. Since 2002 this flag has continued to fluctuate on the territory of Comoros unchanged.

Main Characteristics of Comoros
It is the islands state in East Africa. Comoros are made up of four large islands with numerous small islets and coral reefs, located in the northern end of Madagascar and the northern part of the Mozambique Canal. In terms of size, the main islands are Njaazidja, Anjouan, Ma-yotte and Moheli. Formerly under French rule, Mjazidja, Anjouan and Moheli have formed the independent Federal Republic of Comoros since 1975, while Mayotte is under French control. 90% of the people living in Comoros are Savahili and 8.5% are Arabs.
Comoros have a tropical climate that varies according to the elevation. The average temperature ranges from 20-28 ° C in the July-November period. Steep mountains in the islands of volcanic origin generally consist of basalt or white pumice. The most rugged island is Njazidja. An active volcano, Mount Kartala (2,361 m) exploded in 1977, causing 20,000 homeless people to live on the island. Njazidja is also absent from the river as rainwater seeps through porous volcanic rocks as a result of rainfall. Water is supplied from wells drilled near the shore.
