Landlocked Countries Quiz

A landlocked country is a nation with no coastline — completely surrounded by land, with no direct access to an ocean or sea. This free landlocked countries quiz turns that idea into a fast, mobile-friendly map game: spot the landlocked nation, find it on the world map, or call it landlocked-or-coast against the clock.

There are 44 landlocked countries in the world today, spread across Africa (16), Europe (14), Asia (12) and the Americas — where only Bolivia and Paraguay have no coast. From tiny Vatican-adjacent Europe to the vast steppes of Central Asia, see how many you can identify.

Two of them are doubly landlocked — surrounded entirely by other landlocked countries, so you must cross at least two borders to reach the sea: Liechtenstein and Uzbekistan. Play the Daily Challenge for a shareable result, or open Learn mode to walk through every landlocked nation by continent.
