Flag Frenzy is a fast, free flag guessing game: a flag flashes up with four countries and you tap the right one before the 60-second clock runs out. The quicker you answer, the more you score, and a hot streak multiplies your points.
Every day there is a Daily sprint where everyone in the world races the exact same flags, so your score is directly comparable with your friends. Prefer to just play? Free Play deals you a fresh random run any time you want another go.
There is no sign-up and nothing to install. It runs right here on the page, works beautifully on a phone, and keeps track of your best score, best combo and daily streak.
Play Flag Frenzy
How to play
- Choose Daily (the same flags for everyone today) or Free Play (a fresh random run), then press Start.
- A flag appears with four country choices. Tap the correct one, or press keys 1 to 4.
- Answer fast for a speed bonus, and keep a correct streak going to unlock x1.5, x2 and x3 point multipliers.
- A wrong tap resets your combo and knocks 2 seconds off the clock, so accuracy matters as much as speed.
- When the timer hits zero, see your score, best combo and accuracy, then hit Share to copy a spoiler-free result or Play again.
Game modes
Daily
One 60-second sprint a day, with the flag order and answer choices seeded from the date so every player worldwide gets an identical challenge. That is what makes scores comparable and worth sharing. Completing the daily builds your consecutive-day streak, and it refreshes at midnight UTC.
Free Play
A fresh, randomly ordered 60-second sprint whenever you want one, perfect for practice and for chasing a new personal best. Free Play updates your all-time best score and best combo, but does not touch the daily streak.
The geography behind the game
Flag Frenzy covers 167 countries and their national flags. Crucially, the three wrong answers are not random: they are the mystery country’s nearest neighbours on the map, so a European flag is shown alongside other European countries and an African flag alongside African ones. That makes each round a genuine test of flag recognition rather than a lucky guess, and it quietly teaches you where countries sit in the world.
Frequently asked questions
Is it the same flags for everyone today?
Yes. In Daily mode the flag order and the four answer choices for each flag are generated from today’s date, so every player around the world races the exact same sprint. The puzzle resets at 00:00 UTC. Free Play, by contrast, is randomised every time.
How is my score calculated?
Each correct flag is worth 100 base points plus a speed bonus of up to 50 for answering quickly. On top of that, a running streak multiplies your points: x1.5 from 5 correct in a row, x2 from 10, and x3 from 20. A wrong answer resets the streak to zero and subtracts 2 seconds from the clock.
How is this different from Guess the Flag?
Guess the Flag is a once-a-day Worldle-style puzzle where you work out a single mystery flag in six tries. Flag Frenzy is an arcade sprint: as many flags as you can in 60 seconds, with combos, speed bonuses and a high score to beat. Different itch, same love of flags.
Do I need an account?
No. Flag Frenzy is completely free with no sign-up. Your best score, best combo and daily streak are stored privately in your own browser.
Can I play on my phone?
Absolutely. Flag Frenzy is built mobile-first with large tap targets, so it plays just as well on a phone as on a desktop.
Where does the flag and country data come from?
Flag artwork is from the public-domain flag-icons project, country names come from Wikidata, and country borders and centre points come from Natural Earth. Everything is bundled into the game, so it loads fast and works offline once opened.
